The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
