Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
